Audition Process

Cost of audition

Auditions are free.

Who Can Audition?

18 or over - Due to our admissions policy, insurance and adult education establishment status.

What happens on the day?

The successful applicant will receive a time slot and link, where they will meet both All In Actors principals Ami Sayers and Stephen Sobal.

What to prepare

We would like to see two contrasting monologues (each under 2 mins).

Monologue One-  should be from modern play published after 1956.

Monologue Two-  any text of your choice. This could be from a modern play, Shakespeare, any other classical play, a film, poem, novel- it’s your choice.

Advice

Our best advice is choose something you feel comfortable doing.

Use your own voice and accent. We want to see and hear you.

You can choose a speech of any gender.

If choosing a Shakespeare or Classical monologue, you do not have to be a Shakespeare expert.

We are not expecting to meet a polished or industry ready actor.. that’s what training is for!  We will try our hardest to make you feel as relaxed as possible to get the best out of you.

If you need help with choosing monologues… get in touch and we will point you in the right direction. We are happy to offer suggestions, as we understand this can feel like a daunting task.

Everyone that auditions will be given some constructive feedback on request.

“The audition was very human, I feel like Ami and Steve really cared about me being there, they wanted me to be there, I felt safe.”
